Site overview

Support the company’s production system as the main plant

The Fukui Site was established and put into operation in Fukui City, Fukui in October 2006. While the Gotsu Site mainly produces catalysts, the Fukui Site mainly manufactures zirconium oxide, rare earth, and other complex oxides. The site has a flexible production system to keep up with demand and these products can be produced in any line in the plant.

The Fukui Site is performing strongly. The site produces catalysts for purifying vehicle emissions, fine ceramics, electronic materials used in ceramic capacitors, oxygen sensors for automobiles, and other products and is performing strongly overall.

The site has a plan to establish a training and analysis center on its premises in order to enhance not only the production but also in-house training for human resource development and product inspection. The new center will develop the Fukui Site into an even greater base. This center also serves as a control tower if the head office malfunctions due to a natural disaster or another emergency.

Message from the Site Manager

The site now has more than 100 employees. We can now produce all the products produced previously in the former Osaka Site. We run site operations as the company’s main site both nominally and virtually.
