May 1956 DAIICHI KIGENSO KAGAKU KOGYO CO., LTD. was established.
April 1960 Opened Yodogawa Plant No. 1 in Osaka.
1961 Started development and sale of optical zirconia.
1964 Started development of rare earth elements.
June 1966 Established Yodogawa Plant No. 2 in Osaka.
June 1967 Opened the Itami Plant in Hyogo.
1968 Started the sale of zirconia for electronic materials and flame retardants for resin.
April 1969 Opened the Tokyo Sales Office.
1969 Started the sale of zirconia for refractories on a full scale.
1972 Started the sale of zirconia for brakes.
1976 Started the sale of zirconia for oxygen sensors.
May 1979 Established a new plant on the premises of the head office in Suminoe, Osaka and integrated the three existing plants into it.
1980 Started the sale of electromelting zirconia for continuous casting of steel on a full scale.
1981 Started the sale of zirconia for fine ceramics.
April 1984 Established an affiliated company, NewTechs Co., Ltd.
1986 Started the sale of zirconia for catalysts for purifying vehicle emissions and complex oxide of ceria.
1992 Acquired a patent and sales right for colored zirconia from Nippon Soda Co., Ltd.
March 1993 Established a joint company, I. D.U. Co., Ltd.
January 1996 Obtained ISO-9001 certification. (JQA-1144)
July 1996 Established the Gotsu Plant in Shimane.
1997 Started the sale of cesium flux-containing cored wires and rings.
1998 Yttria-stabilized zirconia and scandia-stabilized zirconia were employed as electrolyte materials for solid-oxide fuel cells.
February 2001 Obtained ISO-14001 certification (JQA-EM-1307).
September 2002 Absorbed an affiliated company, New Techs Co., Ltd.
December 2004 Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
October 2006 Established the Fukui Plant in Fukui.
March 2012 Established a subsidiary, Vietnam Rare Elements Chemical Joint Stock Company, in Vietnam.
August 2013 Established a subsidiary, Suihua Shanghai Trading Company Limited (predecessor of DKK (Shanghai) Materials Trading Co., Ltd.), in China.
July 2014 Established equity method subsidiaries, Shandong Guangyin DKK New Materials Co., Ltd. and Shandong Guangyin DKK Environment Technology Co., Ltd., in China.
September 2017 Established DKK Logistics Corporation.
March 2018 Established a subsidiary, DKK Thai Materials Trading Co., Ltd., in Thailand.
June 2018 Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
