The DKK Group is the only group of companies in the world that operates the integrated system from the decomposition and refining of zirconium ores to the manufacturing to supply to distribution of high-performance materials. Our manufacturing technological capability makes it possible to churn out products of multiple areas in the same manufacturing lines, by switching one type of products to another. We regard this capability as the core competence of Daiichi Kigenso. We will strike a balance between the “potentials” and “stability” of the businesses of the “Strategic Areas” and the “Automotive Catalyst Area” and aim to further build up capital.

Intellectual Capital

Inheriting our founders’ spirit of undertaking challenges, embodied by the slogan “Because no one has done it, we will do it,” the DKK Group has grown by developing new functions and expanding applications for zirconium compounds, as well as conducting research and surveys on new materials. As a result, zirconium compound refining and zirconium oxide agglomeration control have become our core technologies. Additionally, we managed to acquire wide-ranging intellectual properties. We continue to aim for co-creation of value with all stakeholders through development activities based on our R&D Policy and intellectual property activities based on our intellectual property strategy.

Human Capital

The DKK Group is engaged in resolving issues in society through the development and supply of zirconium compounds, in which Automotive Catalyst is an iconic area. On the other hand, we use water for industrial use and mineral resources as main raw materials in the manufacturing process. Based on the idea that the global environment is one of the most important stakeholders, we follow our Environmental Policy and strive to maintain and preserve natural capital.
