Basic Policy on Customer Harassment

Our Approach

Daiichi Kigenso Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd. values relationships of trust with customers, business partners, and all other stakeholders and is committed to conducting its business activities with integrity.
We also believe that protecting a work environment where employees can work safely and with peace of mind is one of our important responsibilities.
We regard as customer harassment any demand or conduct by customers, business partners, or other stakeholders where the content of the demand, or the means or manner used to pursue it, exceeds the bounds of socially acceptable conduct and adversely affects the work environment of our employees.

Definition of Customer Harassment

We do not tolerate the following forms of customer harassment.
Customer harassment refers to demands or conduct from customers where the content of the demand lacks reasonable grounds, or where, even if the demand itself is legitimate, the means or manner used to pursue it are socially unacceptable, and which thereby harm employees’ work environment.

Examples

  • Physical assault or bodily harm, threats, abusive language, insults, or intimidating behavior
  • Demands for degrading or excessive apologies
  • Excessively prolonged interactions, repeated contact, or other persistent conduct
  • Unreasonable demands for money, compensation, or special treatment
  • Personal attacks against employees, or sexual or discriminatory language or conduct
  • Defamatory posts on social media or the internet, or disclosure of personal information
  • Any other conduct that threatens employee safety or harms the work environment

* The above examples are illustrative and not exhaustive.

Where we determine that such conduct constitutes customer harassment, we will respond as an organization, as appropriate, rather than requiring individual employees to handle the matter themselves.
In particularly serious or malicious cases, we may cease responding or decline future engagement and, where appropriate, consult the police, legal counsel, or other external professionals and take appropriate action.
We will continue to take legitimate opinions, requests, and feedback from customers and business partners seriously and use them to improve our products, services, and business activities.
We appreciate your understanding of this policy and your cooperation in maintaining mutually respectful and constructive relationships.
